A thought for your day, featuring photography from my travels. This shot: Home again after 19 days in the US, I thought I’d show you the entrance to one of the many appealing homes on North Dearborn Street. I found myself on this street while walking back to our hotel from the Old Town … and took the detour that led to this street because there were suddenly police cars at each of three or four intersections along N. Wells, the route I had been walking. I took the first turn I could and, a block later, there were crews from three TV stations. The good news: whatever had triggered the heavy police presence was a false alarm.
