A thought for your day, featuring photography from my travels. This shot: While in Chicago last month, a friend and I made our way to the Willis Tower (aka the Sears Tower) to climb 1,353 feet/412 meters and then step out onto a glass ledge above the city. No, we’re not crazy; we took the elevator! Seriously, though, the views were really something. Once you reach the 103rd floor and make your way through the lineup, you have a brief period of time in which to step onto one of three glass ledges that extend less than four and a half feet/one and a third meters out from the building.
