Walking

A thought for your day, with my good wishes to all  …

In every walk with nature, we receive far more than we seek

– paraphrasing John Muir

… and a note from yours truly: In the days ahead, I’ll be sharing the results of my latest Weekend Poll. This one focused on sleep, and whether people are gaining enough of this precious commodity. Some of you may know I’m approaching the home stretch of completing my book, The Resilient Assistant. Speaking from a common sense perspective rather than any medical qualifications, I’m encouraging everyone reading this to join me in reclaiming 60 minutes a day to support our own wellbeing and resilience.

How so? I’ll be writing more about this in the days ahead, yet I suggest each of us do what we can to close out 2022 by carving out 30 minutes a day for a walk. That may be indoors or outdoors, whatever works for you. Next, as your day draws to a close, what tv show or screen time/social media time might you skip … in order to head to sleep 30 minutes earlier? Or, if sleep doesn’t come readily, enjoy that 30 minutes away from screens!
