Role-specific ChatGPT Prompt Packs/hacks to explore

THIS ARTICLE is about hacks for GenAI users. OpenAI Academy has created “Prompt Packs” designed for specific roles in your organisation – executives, managers, HR, IT, marketing and more. There’s also a general prompt pack designed for any role. Can you use or recommend some of these prompts to your advantage, and that of your organisation?
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll have seen I posted a video story yesterday about “Prompt Packs”, one of the latest things in the world of GenAI (generative artificial intelligence).
If you use ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity or other GenAI resources, you may already have a library or collection of prompts to generate effective outcomes. If so, and regardless of which GenAI tools you use, you’ll want to know about the release of role-specific prompt packs.
OpenAI is the entity behind ChatGPT, and its OpenAI Academy has published a collection of more than 300 prompts, bundled into packs specific to different roles.
The Executive Pack contains prompts for use in organisational communications, strategic planning, data insights (including analytical performance), investor market sentiment and more. When it comes to visualization and framework design, OpenAI Academy provides prompts to aid in (and I quote OpenAI Academy here) “… creation of strategic diagrams, matrices, and conceptual visuals for executive presentations and storytelling”.
The Manager Pack contains prompts for coaching and performance “enablement”, team analytics, talent research and benchmarking, and team culture and communications. It also focuses on strategic planning, with prompts related to conducting skills gap analyses, drafting goals and objectives, resource allocation, reframing goals after a strategic pivot, and so on.
There’s a prompt for developing a One:One Meeting Template people can use for sessions with their direct reports. As an assistant, you could use or modify that same template as a resource for meetings with your principal.
GenAI prompts for executives, managers – and for roles in engineering, finance, government, HR, IT, marketing, sales and more … including a pack for “any role”
In between work underway on deliverables for two cohorts, an upcoming keynote presentation for an awards gala event in England and a new presentation I’ll be delivering in Europe in a couple of weeks, I took a bit of time to play with some of the prompts, personalising them for my interests.
If you use GenAI and try out some of these prompt packs, always be thoughtful of data privacy, organisational policies or guidelines regarding GenAI usage, and the details you enter. We can create efficiencies and more in using GenAI, yet compliance with risk and reputation management expectations is important. Again, remember that AI is imperfect; be an independent thinker and scrutinise the output you generate for accuracy and relevance.

As always, the focus for this article and everything I’ve written here came from my very own brain, rather than any AI source.
