A thought for your day, featuring photography from my travels. This shot: in mid-November, after presenting to a terrific group in Sydney, there was time for a brief visit to New Zealand. Anyone who’s an admirer of J. R. R. Tolkien’s work will appreciate my desire to visit Hobbiton. Even though I wish there was more time for the tour in Matamata, it was wonderful – and that’s where I saw these feijoa flowers. One of the guides explained the plants would bear abundant fruit before long.
