Weekend Poll: Perks of the Job

Do you have access to Lower Body Blasts in your workplace? Before we go too far, you should know that’s just one of the fitness classes offered alongside pilates, yoga, Zumba classes, cardio and weight training in our workplace.

While we don’t all take advantages of such opportunities, the availability of such offerings is definitely a perk that goes beyond the traditional compensation package. This leads me to thinking about the range of perks admin. professionals enjoy in different organisations and countries.

Some sectors are known for being dog friendly and for hosting game rooms, packed fridges and access to spa services. If you saw the 2015 movie The Intern, you saw Robert De Niro enjoying the services of an in-house masseuse. However, that movie also depicted a CEO who rode her bike through the office. I suspect it’s more typical for readers to enjoy the perks of fitness programs, on-site dining, educational offerings, travel, conferences, sporting or cultural events, and access to phones and other electronic hardware.

What About Your Workplace?

Do you enjoy any such perks, or is this pie in the sky thinking for you? This brings us to the question for my latest Weekend Poll …

What kinds of perks are available to you through your workplace?

Please take a couple of minutes to complete the poll below. As always, I look forward to hearing what you have to say. Beginning this month, I’ll be publishing poll results each Tuesday.
