You can’t count on luck, and simply hope things will evolve. Nor are positive cultures mandated and instantly effected; you need to actively contribute on an ongoing basis to help achieve an environment that supports success.
At both my current and past place of employment, I looked around and thought we could find ways to collaborate, share best practices and experiences. We could support one another in our professional development, which would also benefit our employer. We did just that, by securing management support and creating our own internal networks.
