Weekend Poll: What Luggage Do You Recommend?

It’s Thursday, and I’m back from a productive conference and great stay in Québec City, which is in the Canadian Province of Québec -also known as La Belle Province

I also went through my usual routine of packing with weight limitations and surcharges in mind, as the smart and sturdy Samsonite I’ve used for the past eight years or so weighs 13 pounds/almost six kilograms. Since that represents almost one third of the maximum weight allowance when you want to keep within the standard luggage charge, I’m thinking it’s time to make a change.

As a group of us left our hotel yesterday, the importance of choosing the right brand and product was reinforced when a wheel went spinning right off a fellow delegate’s suitcase. Chuckling, she said this happened so frequently that she’d purchased (and travels with) a couple of spare wheels. As she lugged her three-wheeled suitcase through the airport, though, she seemed to have decided enough was enough; she was also thinking of going luggage shopping. That leads us to the focus of this weekend’s poll:

If you were shopping for new luggage, what brand would you recommend?

Please take a couple of minutes to complete the poll below, and I’ll publish results next Tuesday.

“Select” whichever responses apply, and remember to CLICK on the golden “VOTE” ICON AFTER EACH QUESTION.

  1. Aw, I am sad that I missed out on your poll. My priority durabily. Nothing is more inconvenient than losing a wheel or a cracked luggage (or broken zipper). If a brand offer less than 10yrs warranty amd charge more than usd100, I stay away from. I recommend Lojel (Japanese brand) for their 10yrs warranty and value for money price. Otherwise, Samsonite. Not all samsonite has 10yrs warranty, but in general, my experience with their after purchase care was responsive and efficient. Not so good value for money compare to Lojel, because all price range product from Lojel has 10yrs warranty

    • Thanks, Joyce, for your feedback and word of your experience. Sorry you missed the poll; I publish them on Thursdays, and then bring results out on Tuesdays.
