Weekend Poll Results: It’s Time for Employers to Provide Cybersecurity Training

… for their own benefit! With thanks to all who are participating in my Weekend Polls, here are the results of this past weekend’s poll, which I’ve now closed. The focus of this past weekend’s poll: How prepared are you to defend against cyber threats?

Readers recognise cybersecurity as an issue, at home or in the workplace

Readers seem to have a good sense of the significance of cybersecurity, both in the office and at home.

… and yet, less than 50% reported that their employers have provided cybersecurity education or training

… which may be why  19% of respondents recognise that they have limited (or no) awareness of the topic. 48% of respondents reported that they’ve received cybersecurity training at their offices, and 52% of respondents reported that they’ve been paying attention to cybersecurity, with many reading or attending sessions to learn more.

In fact, 21% of respondents reported that they’ve carved out time for independent study or professional development related to cybersecurity. Those are some proactive admin. professionals.
