The sixth year for this survey
Each year since 2016, with the exception of 2020, I’ve asked readers whether you’re getting enough sleep. As we continue this annual look at sleep patterns, I’ll be tracking and reporting back to you on how this year’s results compare with pre-pandemic times.
A spring in your step, or … ?
When you begin your workday, do you do so with a bounce in your step? Or is it a major effort to haul yourself out of bed and over to the shower and coffee maker, let alone contemplating the energy and stamina required for the day ahead? The quality of our sleep plays a part in our personal wellbeing and, by extension, our resilience.
Is sleep a luxury, or a priority?
Life is full, and sometimes more than a little challenging. Many spend considerable time away from work taking care of other people or causes. If you have young ones or teens, or if you’re a caregiver for an older relative or someone with health challenges, sleep may seem a luxury. Even when we’re able to call it a day, not everyone is ready to hit the hay right away. We may curl up and watch tv, mindless or otherwise, or scroll through various feeds on our phones or other hardware, and find ourselves drifting in and out of sleep in front of a screen. That’s not good for our health or our resilience.
Please add your voice, and share this poll
I designed this poll so you can add your voice in just a couple of minutes; there’s a single open-ended question. Thanks as always for participating, and I appreciate it when readers share my polls with colleagues and friends. Let’s get to it, shall we? I’m asking …
Are you getting enough sleep?

Please take a couple of minutes to complete the poll below. As always, I look forward to hearing what you have to say and will publish the results here.
