Walking along a couple of my favourite Vancouver beaches yesterday, clouds were wrapped like strips of cotton near the base of all our North Shore Mountains – and shrouding the mountaintops.

I paused to record a video for my Instagram feed, casually remarking on the temporary nature of clouds, before continuing walking. Less than five minutes later, one of the people walking in the other direction was pointing to and identifying a mountain range to her companions. Turning around, I saw the snowcapped mountains you see in this picture had emerged from the clouds. What a treat! I made my way back to soak up and capture the sight.
