Doors

A thought for your day, with my good wishes …
If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.
― Milton Berle
Hello again, and here’s to a terrific week ahead. You may notice I’m focusing in recent posts on the reality that, in some sectors and locales of late, assistants’ career opportunities are becoming more restricted. Economic and geopolitical factors play into this, and we’re seeing debate about the extent – and speed – to which NextGen AI/AI will play into this. Check back June 18th for my article and perspectives on the depth and pace of such changes.
For today, while continuing to encourage you to nurture your adaptability, resilience and awareness of changes ahead, you’ll find below a slideshow and video of beautiful Menton, France. I made a day trip there while staying on the French Riveria between engagements last month, and highly recommend it.
Here, you’re less than 12 kilometers/eight miles from Ventimiglia, Italy and, in looking at many of the buildings, you could imagine you are in Italy. I was happily surprised to learn limoncello is produced in France, with lemons grown right in this region.
Documentation relating to the city dates back to 1262, and so you may be unsurprised by the architecture, narrow walkways and incredible sights of Old Town Menton in the carousel of pics below, and the video at the base of the page. Menton is deserving of its reputation as the Pearl of France.
If you’d like to see more of my travel videos and pics, you’re welcome to join me on Instagram and YouTube , and you don’t need your own accounts to access these accounts.
