Peaceful

A thought for your day, with my good wishes to all …
Peace is not absence of conflict, it is the ability to handle conflict by peaceful means.
— Ronald Reagan
It’s always a good time to try to resolve conflict peacefully and Hiroshima, Japan’s Peace Memorial Park is a place that, to me, represents a plea for peace. As you scroll through my photos from our time there, you may be interested to learn that September 20th marks the 61st year since completion of the park’s Peace Bell/Bell of Peace. The bell, which you’ll see in the video below, is the work of Masahiko Katori. It’s the A-bomb Survivor Hiroshima Hope Fruition Society that launched plans for the bell, which visitors are welcome to strike during the park’s daytime hours.
