I hope your week is off to a terrific start. I’ve been back a few days now from events and explorations in Belgium, France and England – with a brief drive through Germany, where I saw the Black Forest from a distance, and a day trip to Switzerland. I’ve spent time in Germany before, yet this was my first time in Switzerland.

Between events, I returned to Nice, in no small part based on anticipating the weather would be fine even in late October. In fact, the weather throughout the four weeks was pleasant, with only two occasions on which I needed my raincoat. The sweaters I’d packed remained in the suitcase, adding to my weightlifting (weight pulling?) experience rather than being worn. Now home again, and as we’re in the back half of November, I’ve worn one of them three times already.
