EAA: Executive Assistant Accelerator
EA ACCELERATOR (EAA)
Skills and insights, at your convenience throughout the year
Evolve with the career, whether this means maintaining or elevating your skills and currency. Just as air traffic controllers play critical roles even though they guide rather than fly planes, you can positively impact and influence people and outcomes without being the person atop your org chart.
Whether you support a team, a single executive or a number of leaders, internal and external parties with vested interests may be impacted by your performance. You need to be informed and attuned to what’s going on all around you. It makes sense to align your efforts and development with organizational needs and priorities.

WHAT DOES SHELAGH KNOW ABOUT YOUR WORLD, AND THE WORLD OF GOVERNANCE?
Shelagh spent almost three decades walking your walk, in both the corporate world and the public sector. She’s led teams, and her own division; she’s been an assistant, and had the support of assistants who reported to her. She’s been a direct report to CEOs and, having spent the last decade of her office career as a governance professional, was accountable to four different board Chairs.
Shelagh earned Advanced Good Governance certification through Colleges Ontario, and benefitted from additional governance education through Canada’s Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) and the USA’s Association of Governing Boards (AGB). She is a proud member of Governance Professionals of Canada (GPC), and has written multiple governance and business articles published by Diligent Corporation: A Modern Governance Company.
Shelagh’s presentations reflect her own ongoing education and all that comes with a decade’s experience as a governance/board professional with responsibility for board operations. She has also chaired a national board herself. Feel free to click here to read what Shelagh’s clients around the globe have to say about learning from Shelagh.
