A thought for your day, featuring photography from my travels. This shot: It was a treat, after speaking in Oxfrod, England last May, to spend much of the next day in the Oxford Botanic Garden. Situated alongside the Thames, it has walled garden beds such as these ones with lupins, allium and roses.

A thought for your day, featuring photography from my travels. This shot: This is an ordinary experience when driving in rural areas of Scotland. Here, I was in the Outer Hebrides. As I made my way along this one-way road (which, like others, has multiple pull outs) by Breasclete on the Isle of Lewis, these sheep made their way on to the road to investigate the activity.
