A thought for your day, featuring photography from my travels. This shot: I love this photo, for the abundance and colour of the roses, and for the memories it brings. We were in Paris and made our way to Marche D’alligre, where these beauties were among the many flowers for sale at one of the market’s outdoor stalls. It’s hard to believe, yet it’s already been five and a half years since this visit!

This shot: BC has experienced a range of extreme weather since last summer – heat, rain and flooding and, in Vancouver recently, an almost three-week stretch of snow on the ground, followed by king tide and high winds last Friday. You’ll see we had a beautiful day yesterday, yet the pier at Jericho Beach is more than a little worse for wear following Friday’s winds and tide. Here’s to rebuilding!
