For the second consecutive year, we’re looking at assistants’ influence on corporate purchasing.
I was prompted to ask these questions last year, after Real Careers alumna Kemetia Foley told me about an instance in which sales reps for an international company declined repeat invitations to speak to a meeting of an admin. professionals’ association about their product.
While those sales reps failed to appreciate both the opportunity to generate revenue and the influence admin. professionals have on their employers’ purchasing decisions, I know that many other service and product suppliers’ reps are far more astute.
On that note, how much purchasing influence do you wield? Do you think your influence is understood by external suppliers and reps, or is it under-recognised? This leads us to my latest Weekend Poll:
How much influence do you have over corporate purchasing decisions?
Please take a couple of minutes to complete the poll below, and I’ll publish results next Tuesday.
