A thought for your day, featuring photography from my travels. This shot: Near the end of my week in Sweden this spring, I visited Stockholm’s magnificent City Hall. Walking from Stockholm Centralstationen, the train station, through Norrmalm, I soon came across this vivid and massive (seven meters/21 feet) metal sculpture amid the roadways in Järnvägsparken. This is one iteration of well known Swedish artist Jan Håfström’s “Mr. Walker”. Mr. Walker’s alias is “The Phantom”, and Håfström has said the character shares similarities with his own father – notably the coat and hat he wore, and an affinity for running.
